It's a nice functional compass w/ cover perfect for engraving. I wish sellers (in general)!would include item pics next to tape measure as well as measurements in the descriptions. It's just a little smaller than I thought which makes the face harder to see. I wanted it to "pop" with the Shiny mirror finish (Antique was out of stock) against my burgundy & brown corset which it does quite nicely. It's a good weight & feels right in my hand. I'll easily change out the chain because it's thin & hangs like a 22" around my neck or I'll wear it on my belt. But save the coin & get it without the chain. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase & recommend. No more getting lost around Renfests & Cons with my Handy Dandy Compass!

These are nice!!!!! Got mine and needle was stuck. Seller responded immediately and told me how to fix it.

I intend to give this as a gift to an avid outdoorsman. I hope he will like it, but this compass is cute and just the right size. A bit hard to open but still good.
